Why use Hydrocolloid?

Hydrocolloid dressings are made ofelastic polymeric hydrogelssynthetic rubber and adhesive materials. The most common gel inthe dressing is carboxymethyl cellulose. This gel can be firmlyattached to the skin at the edge of the wound, and can swell 12times after absorbing the exudate. Hydrocolloid dressings are mainly used for the treatment of chronicwounds such as pressure ulcers and venous ulcers. Hydrocolloid dressings can also be used for the care of acutewounds.For wounds in donor sites, the healing time aftertreatment with hydrocolloid dressings is about 40% shorter thantraditional treatment methods.

 

How To Use Ultra-thin Hydrocolloid Dressing

 

 

Cleanse the woundand dry thesurrounding skin.

Compare wound andbandage size. Bandageshould be 3/4" larger thanwound. Trim to size ifdesired.

Peel off backing paperand place dressing.

Place bandage overwound.Remove filmand gently smooth andpress for full adhesion.

 

 

How to remove dressings more conveniently? 

Gently peel off the four corners of the water gel.

Gradually pull apart from the diagonal.
lf you feel a tearing sensation, you can rinse with clean water toremove it.
