PU foam dressing is a highly absorbent dressing made from hydrophilic polyurethane foam, ideally designed for heavily exuding wounds. The main function of components in polyurethane foam products can absorb a lot of wound infiltration of liquid, maintain a wet healing environment for the wound, romote wound healing, reduce secondary damage when changing. The top backing film protect wounds against external bacterial.

Performance:

Advantages:
1. The polyurethane foam absorbs up to 15 times its own weight in exudates, helps to reduce the risk of maceration, non-adherent to wound bed and minimizes pain when dressing change.
2. Protects the wounds against external contamination and reduces risk of infection. Impermeable to fluids, allows patient to shower with the dressing in situ(Non-adhesive foam dressing needs to be fixed by secondary dressing, such as cohesive bandage or transparent film dressing, we also supply these secondary dressing).
3. The high breathable backing film allows excess moisture to pass away from the wound and maintains a moist healing environment in the wound.
4. The soft foam dressing can be cut into shape to fix wound in different area, adapts to body contours and enhances comfort.

Instructions for use:
1. Carefully clean the wound and its surrounding area with sterile water or saline solution and dry the surrounding skin gently.
2. Open the package and remove the dressing. Make sure the medical PU film backing is facing away from the skin and the foam is facing the side of the wound or skin. Use a secondary dressing or bandage to secure the foam dressing in place.
3. The frequency of dressing replacement depends on the type of wound, amount of exudate and clinical condition, or on the treatment procedure. However, it is recommended that you replace the dressings every 24hrs or earlier if wound exudates are seeping to the edge of the dressing.
4. To remove the dressing, use tweezers or a gloved hand to gently peel off the dressing away from the wound.
